Biography
Ron’s work
in photography began almost
six decades ago in Boston at
the age of eight. His dad
taught him the basics of
shooting black & white
photographs and printing
them in the darkroom. During
his high school years he
expanded his expertise and
earned a modest living
providing all of the
darkroom work for a local
daily newspaper,
photographing families and
high school sports teams.
Ron has
retired with the rank of
Major after twenty years of
U.S. Air Force service that
took him worldwide. During
those years he made use of
photo darkrooms when
available and continued to
shoot both print and slide
film. Ron’s formal education
and certifications include:
Navigator, Commercial Pilot,
Certificated Flight
Instructor, Bachelor’s &
Master’s Degrees (Business
Major), Certified Financial
Planner & Registered
Financial Consultant.
Most
recently, he converted to
entirely digital tools and
marvels that he can create
archival, museum quality
prints in his home office,
without “darkroom” or
chemicals. Over the last
several years he has
regularly upgraded his
equipment to the fine-art
professional standards which
he now uses.
Settled in
Kittredge, Colorado, he
continues to study his art
and create Fine Art
Photographs. His subjects
include: birds, insects,
landscapes, animals,
flowers, architecture, and
people.
